Adult Training
Troop 783 and Boy Scouts of America policy states that all adult leaders must be trained in the areas identified below. Adult leaders are any person 18 years old or older that is holding a Troop position or are organizing a Troop activity, must:
- Fill out an Adult Leader Form
- Have the Scoutmaster approve and sign the form
- Have the Committee Chairman approve and sign the form
- Youth Protection Training Online (print the page that you successfully completed the course and hand it to the Training Coordinator)
- Take Safe Swim Defense Training
- Take Safety Afloat Training
- It is recommended that you also become CPR trained
- One adult from each family member must be Youth Protection Registered
These training courses are FREE and are held at the Pacifica District Roundtable Meetings monthly. CPR training will be arranged by the training coordinator a few times per year. Please see the Roundtable Meeting schedule for details
